L.O.H.
(Ladies of Harley) is a program sponsored by H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) to support women motorcycle enthusiasts (both drivers and passengers).
It is not a separate organization within H.O.G. but was established to encourage women to become more active in H.O.G. and their local chapters.
L.O.H. Membership
Although Ladies of Harley membership is free of charge to active H.O.G. members, it is not automatic. If you would like to join, please contact the H.O.G. office (See your H.O.G. Membership Manual). You must be an active full or associated member of H.O.G. to be affiliated with Ladies of Harley.
A PROUD TRADITION
A look through the personal collections of riders from the past shows that women have always been a part of the Harley-Davidson family. Early Motor Company advertising photos frequently featured women in genteel garb, posing with the latest motorcycles. Even more evidence of the strong part women have played in shaping the sport of motorcycling can be found in the accounts and photos from personal collections. As early as the 1910's female riders did everything the men did, from long-distance rides to enjoying lazy Sunday afternoon rides with friends. In 1915, Avis and Effie Hotchkiss crossed America on a motorcycle, twice! The magazine, Enthusiast, which began publication in 1916, bears many early accounts of women and motorcycling.
